Trilambs

Matt was a member of the satirical hip-hop group The Trilambs, performing under the name 'Matty Boom.' The group took a sideways look at the excessive world of rap culture, mocking the glorification of materialism, mysogyny and homophobia.<ref>http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/1502506.stm</ref>

Their only album, entitled 'It Wasn't Not Funny', was released in 2001; as of March 2008 it ranks 132,058 in the Amazon.com Music Sales chart.<ref>http://www.amazon.com/Wasnt-Not-Funny-Trilambs/dp/B000AQNEXE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1205953590&sr=8-1</ref>

The group was discovered and promoted by Oly Obst, who would go on to produce Matt's film, This Side of the Truth.<ref>http://www.pitzer.edu/offices/public_relations/publications/pitzer_press/archive/20010927/page19.html</ref>
