He then proceeded to back out of the bank with the weapon and the money. Afterwards, Alfred used the cash to negotiate the release of his fellow monkeys from the local zoo. No proof of the story has ever been found. It was emailed to Karl by a number of listeners, and it's possible they were all in cahoots. For quite some time [[Ricky]] used this as the benchmark against which other Monkey News stories were measured as he felt it was the most absurd.
