Steve Merchant played Bubba Sparxxx on 17 November 2001 show. Steve claimed he couldn't relate to the song in anyway, it's called 'Ugly'.

He decided not the play the single 'Ugly', but 'Dark Days and Dark Nights' instead. They thought that Stevie Wonder may be providing the chorus for the song, and asked the listeners the phone and e-mail in.
