Xfm Labels are the titles given to the Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant radio shows that have been made available through the Xfm website.

However these labels have proven problematic for the following reasons. Firstly, Xfm have only made available 48 shows. But there are 91 shows in circulation, with yet more having been broadcast but not in the public domain. Because of this, Xfm's 'seasons' are incomplete. And secondly, despite the implication of Xfm's labels, the shows are not in chronological order. For example, the show broadcast on 29 March 2003 is labelled by Xfm as 'Season 1 Volume 11' but the following week's show 05 April 2003 is labelled by Xfm as 'Season 1 Volume 9'.

Therefore, all Xfm shows are best labelled and refered to using their broadcast date.

These shows have been further catergorized by grouping them into different series, and each series has been defined by substantial gaps between Ricky and Steve's shows, i.e. several months as opposed to a couple weeks off.

The decision to label these shows using their broadcast date rather than by numbering them chronologically, is because not all shows are in circulation. With the 'broadcast date and series' labels, should any of these missing shows come into the circulation, they could be intergrated without disrupting the standard ordering.

The following links will take you to each show's individual page containing the broadcast date, track listing, quotes, and any relevent links.
