Hip-Hop Hooray was a feature on The Ricky Gervais Show on Xfm in which Stephen Merchant, and sometimes Ricky Gervais, would play a hip-hop track. Karl Pilkington let Merchant play it towards the end of the show to let him feel good about having his own feature. Jonathan Ross called it the worst feature on British Radio. Hip-Hop Hooray is thought to be have come from a pre-takeover series feature called the Hip-Hop Challenge, in which Gervais and Merchant would compete to play the best hip-hop track.
