The Scottish Widow first appeared in a television advert directed by David Bailey in 1986. There have been three 'Widows' to date: Deborah Moore 1986–1994, Amanda Lamb 1994–2005 and Hayley Hunt 2005-present. On the 08 March 2003 show, Steve referenced the Scottish Widow as needing to move on and perhaps consider seeing him. He thinks she may have quite a bit of money stashed away and that she has kept fit underneath her billowing cape.
