Colin Bailey was Karl's childhood friend who had a Sinclair Spectrum. According to Karl, the deal was that Colin would go round to theirs and Karl's Mam would give him a pie, and then Karl would go to his to play Hungry Horace. Colin's Spectrum was highly envied by young Karl, whose parents ultimately purchased "the wrong" computer for their son, the ZX 81.
Colin Bailey was mentioned on the 15 March 2003 show, and should not be confused with Colin Makin nor with the friend whose mother made Karl play computer games with her son whilst standing outside his bedroom window.
