John Krasinski plays Jim Halpert, an office supply salesman on the U.S. version of The Office.
Early Life
Krasinski is from Newton, Massachusetts, where he played on the same Little League Baseball team and attended the same high school as B.J. Novak. Krasinski attended Brown University, where he graduated in 2002 as a playwright with honors.
Career
Krasinski's TV career began in 2002 as an intern on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. His first stage experience was starring in a satirical high school play written and cast by B.J. Novak. Krasinski has appeared in a variety of films including Kinsey, Duane Hopwood, and most recently License to Wed. He also wrote and directed a film adaptation of David Foster Wallace's Brief Interviews with Hideous Men which was filmed in winter 2006. Krasinski has also done voice-over work for Ask.com and Apple, and voicing the role of Sir Lancelot in Shrek the Third.
