Each of the three has had an unusual experience in what they describe as a "novelty street", in which they have pondered the relevance of Chinatown. Ricky and Steve believe it's not a town as it doesn't have a mayor or a church; Karl didn't understand why the restaurants in Chinatown had such unappealing foods in the window as you usually put out your finest stuff to attract customers.

Ricky, Steve and Karl have all agreed that Chinatown is not a town.
