Charlie Brown is a cartoon character created by Charles M. Schulz and is the lead character of the Peanuts comic strip.
In 2002 Ricky and Steve were photographed for promotional material. Karl however opted out of doing this, because he felt the listeners did not need to know what he looked like, and it would ruin the mystique. When Ricky felt he needed to create a mental image for the listeners, amongst the many characters named, he said Charlie Brown was a perfect one due to the shirt Karl was wearing.
