Dazzling Darren's Disco was the original name of Karl and his mate Colin Makin's mobile disco outfit. Decor included a bit of lighting that spelled out "Darren" (the original owner of the lighting).
Karl, on the reasoning behind the name: "I started off as um... "Dazzling Darren's Disco." Just because the first lights I could afford belonged to someone who had their name put in lights. So I went along with that name for a bit." (from 20 April 2002)
