Out Of England is the fourth solo stand-up show by Ricky Gervais released as an HBO special on 15 November 2008. It was filmed at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Tour
Out of England ran for 7 shows in Los Angeles and New York in July 2008. Gervais started with two warm-up gigs for charity in Brentwood, California on 9 and 10 July 2008. He then performed two gigs in The Kodak Theater in Hollywood, the same venue that annually hosts the Academy Awards, on 11 and 12 July 2008. He finished his tour in Madison Square Garden in New York where he performed on 14, 15, and 16 July 2008.
According to Gervais, "It wasn't a tour, it wasn't really, I missed out that big middle bit," which he mentioned on The Late Show with David Letterman

The content of the show combined material from Gervais' three previous standup tours, Animals, Politics, and Fame. From Animals he included bits about fables, "Humpty Dumpty", and animal facts. From Politics he included bits about Hitler, Nazis, and the infamous leaflet. From Fame he included bits about obesity, cancer, and autism.
