Porthmadog, pronounced "Port Maddock" and known locally as Port, is a small coastal town in the Dwyfor locality within Gwynedd in North Wales. It has a population of 4,187. On 09 February 2002 Karl said that he would frequently have caravaning holidays there for four weeks at a time while his dad worked in Wales. He attributes his lack of education to these trips.
