Like Flanimals, the book features around 30 species of animal, illustrated by Rob Steen, which make up their own imaginary ecosystem.
Comedian Gervais, well known for his hit TV series The Office originally went to University to study biology, but changed to philosophy.
Like the first book, More Flanimals was published by Faber and Faber.
