"Tattoo Stan" is Karl's non-blood related uncle. He was covered in tattoos of various designs, including the names of his six children, all of which he had done himself. Karl thought that this looked "a mess". As he was right-handed and had tattooed his own arms, he had very good tattoos on his left arm, but the ones on his right arm were "rubbish", according to Karl.
