Paper round

As a child, Karl, had a job as a paper round. He spoke fondly of this job, and often said it was the best job he has ever had, because he was "his own boss." When Steve mentioned that the newsagent was technically his boss, Karl replied with "naah." Once Karl's Mam kept Karl from doing his paper round due to bad weather. Karl tried to get out and in the process of doing that, he got caught on a tree outside his family home and he stayed there until his father came home and thought he was a robber. On episode 1, season 1, Karl had to write 3 confessions. One of which was that he stole a mars bar every day he did his paper rounds due to been paid poorly. He mentioned this in past podcasts.
