Pilkipedia Fan Meetings

Every so often, Pilkipedians have been lucky enough to bump into a notable member of our obsession. Here is a collected page of the qualified fan meetings.

Ricky

RussianOrChimp met Ricky Gervais on Ricky's 2007 UK Fame tour on Wednesday 21st or Thursday 22nd March at the Sunderland Empire.<ref>Pilkipedia Forums - Thread - I Met Ricky Last Week [[1]]</ref> Ricky was apparently "genuinely pleased and humbled".

In 2009 Pilkipedian Rickydiculous met Ricky at the LA premiere of The Invention of Lying. Rickydiculous asked him to sign The Office boxset and he was happy to do so.

At the same 2009 LA premiere Pilkipedian StopWhinging met Ricky outside and had a photo taken with him. She was then lucky enough to be offered a spare ticket to the premiere. Once inside she met Ricky a second time and had a brief conversation with him. She told him that she was a fan of the Xfm shows, much to Ricky's surprise.

Karl

Jizzmac met Karl on Thursday 21st September 2006.<ref>Pilkipedia Forums - Thread - I Just Met Karl [[2]]</ref> He was walking down Newman Street in London when he walked past Karl. They stopped and shook hands, talked and had their photo taken by a passer-by.

Steve

Hannah Jade and binda met Steve on two occasions: 5th August, 2008<ref>Pilkipedia Forums - Thread - The Day We Met Mr Merchant [[3]]</ref>, after his stand up performance at the University of Warwick, and two weeks later on 20th August<ref>Pilkipedia Forums - Thread - The Day We Met Steve......Again [[4]]</ref> after his Cambridge appearance. They had to do a bit of searching, but once they found him he was friendly and signed their specially made 'Smerch' t-shirts.

Rufus (of Steve Show Fame)

On 10th July 2008, Hannah Jade and binda met Rufus Wright outside the Malvern Theatre in Malvern, where [Rufus]] was performing in his play. On 12 July, Chris Morris happened upon a similar meeting with Rufus. <ref>Pilkipedia Forums - Thread - The Day We Met Mr Gerrard-Wright [[5]]</ref> On both occasions he was described as being humble and polite, and spent a relatively large amount of time greeting and chatting with his Pilkipedian fans. He also allowed them to take pictures with him.
