Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom (born 13 January 1977) is an English actor.

Career

Bloom got his break playing Legolas in Lord of the Rings and Will Turner in the Pirates of the Carribean trilogies. He also had a short role in the film, Black Hawk Down and played Paris in the 2004 film, Troy. He has had leading roles in the films Kingdom of Heaven and Elizabethtown. He was chosen as one of the "25 hottest stars under 25" by Teen People in 2002 and was included in the 2004 list of "People" magazine's hottest Hollywood bachelors and "50 Most Beautiful" people. In addition, Ananova.com chose him as the sexiest actor in Britain, he was named as the sexiest male movie star by Empire Magazine as well as #21 in the list of 100 Sexiest Stars, voted #1 star most women would like to kiss under the mistletoe in a poll for Sky Movies, and he was #4 in Elle Magazine's "15 Sexiest Men" poll.

Extras

Bloom appeared in the first episode of the second series of Extras written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. He played a twisted version of himself who was arrogant and hated his Pirates co-star, Johnny Depp. Maggie Jacobs was an extra on his film and it drove him crazy that she did not find him attractive. He even kissed her in an attempt to change her mind.
