Warwick Ashley Davis (born 3 February 1970) is a British actor. He is noted for his dwarfism, standing at 3 ft 6 in (1.07 m) tall. Also the subject of Karl Pilkington's fascination in The Podfather Trilogy podcasts, where Karl referred to him as Warren.
Career
Davis is best known as the title character in Willow and the Leprechaun series of films; other prominent roles include Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter movies, Marvin the Paranoid Android in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Reepicheep in the BBC television versions of Prince Caspian, Voyage of the Dawn Treader and as Mr Glimfeather the owl in The Silver Chair. He is also featured in another Narnia-related film production: the 2008 film adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, as the dwarf Nikabrik.
Extras
Davis played himself in the third episode of the second series of Extras written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. His character was appearing in a film with Daniel Radcliffe and Andy Millman. Andy had told his friend, Maggie Jacobs, that Warwick's fiance probably would have preferred him if they had both met her at the same time. Maggie, of course, told Warwick's fiance and Warwick later challenged Andy to a fight. In an attempt to avoid the conflict, Andy inadvertently kicked Warwick in the face.
Life's Too Short
In 2010 Ricky Gervais announced that he and writing partner Stephen Merchant are currently developing a sitcom for the BBC called "Life's Too Short" staring Warwick Davis. Davis has stated that he would like Karl Pilkington to make a cameo appearance.
