Daniel Jacob Radcliffe (born 23 July 1989) is an English actor.

Career

Radcliffe is best known for playing Harry Potter in the popular Harry Potter film series. To date, he has been in five films in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the U.S.) (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). He has also signed on to be in the sixth and seventh films in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He was also in the stage play, Equus in 2007 and sparked some controversy when he appeared nude in one scene.

Extras

Radcliffe appeared as himself in the third episode of the second series of Extras, written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. His character was constantly trying to chat up older women on the set, including Maggie Jacobs. He used fags and an unraveled condom to show how grown up and mature he was, yet he ended up embarrassing himself when the condom accidentally hit Diana Rigg in the face.
